Dr. Dolittle
Old Town Playhouse, 148 E. Eighth St., Phone: 231-947-2210
What if you could parlay with a pachyderm, or chat with a chimpanzee? Escape into the fantastical world of Dr. John Dolittle, who speaks with the animals. Misunderstood by nearly everyone in his hometown of Puddleby-on-Marsh, Dolittle longs to go exploring for the Great Pink Sea Snail. Accompanied by his few friends (and some animal companions), Dolittle heads off on the grandest adventure of his lifetime.

This entrancing show, based on the 1967 movie with Rex Harrison is chock-full of toe-tapping sing-along tunes, such as “Talk to the Animals,” “My Friend the Doctor,” and “I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It.” Our rollicking production will partner the young actors of the OTP Young Company with Old Town Playhouse cast members and many puppets and special effects, for a dazzling experience for the whole family!
