Shop Dogs Add to Atmosphere of Northern Michigan Businesses

How many times have you walked into a business in Northern Michigan and have been greeted by a canine host? It's definitely something to enjoy about the Northern Michigan lifestyle.

The company that I work for, The Copy Shop, at 8th and Woodmere, has its own dog ambassador named Ruby (see photo below). She is a beautiful and sweet chocolate lab and is usually the most requested employee that we have on staff.

Ruby even has the Xerox Technician, FedEx and UPS guys trained to give her a treat when they enter the building. When she's not busy assisting with copying tasks, you can often find her sleeping in the sun near the front windows.

Another dog who keeps workers company is Jesse (above), a rescued dog who has found his place in life. He comes to work everyday at the Carpet Barn in Central Lake and greets customers. It's been a year and Jesse has attracted many admirers.

Other recent canine sightings include: Kay's (Misty's photo above), Garfield Auto, Papers & Presents and Jack's Market.
